Bona Nova is a project for the digitization of the Bona typeface, designed in 1971 by the creator of Polish banknotes, Mr. Andrzej Heidrich. Our aim, in addition to giving it a digital form, is to expand the existing set of characters, develop small caps, alternative characters, and many typographic functions. In collaboration with the author, two new work variations – Regular and Bold – were created to give Bona the form of a classic triad. The finished family is distributed under an open license. The whole is complemented by six display variants – Bona Sforza.
